Founded in 1993, Manali Education Society is a youth-led organization committed to empowering communities through education, upskilling, and sustainable development. Driven by the passion and creativity of young minds, we focus on creating meaningful social impact by combining education with entrepreneurship and environmental responsibility.
Our initiatives include Manali Public School, which has been providing quality education at affordable prices, nurturing students to become future leaders. We also run Mangal Dayak, an innovative program that encourages young girls to pursue STEM careers and promotes health awareness. Another key venture is Manali Honey and Nectar, a student-led startup that fosters sustainable livelihoods through organic honey production, equipping students with real-world business skills.
With 80G and 12A certifications, as well as NGO Darpan registration, Manali Education Society emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and community engagement. Through our programs, we aim to build a better future by empowering youth, promoting women’s participation, and advocating for environmental sustainability.

Jaya Sagar is a senior research associate at university of Bristol, UK working on Satellite Quantum Key Distribution. She’s been awarded the Zutshi- Smith Scholarship for her doctorate (PhD).
She’s completed her B.Tech from National Institute of Technology- Hamirpur in 2020. She’s always been a science enthusiast and a strong advocate for girls to pursue a career in Science. For her innovative projects for socio-ecological upliftment of Manali, she received the prestigious National Youth Award (2015-16) from the government of India for research and innovation . The national youth award is the highest youth civilian honour in India. She also became the youngest recipient of National Women’s achiever’s award 2019 and her journey as a scientist and a science promoter continues on through Mangaldaayak and Manali Education Society.
Sumeet Sagar is a data scientist and an engineer specializing in product development and cleantech innovation. With a B.E. in Electronics and Instrumentation from Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, he has published multiple research papers on sustainable energy and robotics. Sumeet’s journey is rooted in his dedication to mentoring young innovators, guiding 35 startups as an Incubation Manager with AIC Sangam. For his contributions to sustainable development, he plays an active role through Manali Education Society, empowering local youth and promoting STEM education across communities.
Paras is a dedicated professional with a B.Tech from Thapar University, excelling in academia, sports, and social service. As a state-level football player, marathon winner, and someone who has cleared various government exams, he embodies resilience and discipline. With over eight years of active involvement in NGOs, Paras brings empathy and commitment to his work, making a meaningful impact on communities.
Known for his exceptional communication skills, Paras has a natural ability to connect with people from all walks of life, fostering understanding and trust. His warmth and strong sense of hospitality make him an effective advocate and mentor within the communities he serves. Committed to holistic education, Paras believes in nurturing academic growth alongside the importance of sports for character-building and teamwork, continuing to inspire and uplift those around him.

Kunga is an inspiration to his peers with his innovative ideas and immaculate execution. As Project Coordinator, he fosters innovation and exploration of the world in his native town of Manali to better help the natives and people understand the opportunities available for people in the wider world.

A boxing enthusiast and avid traveler, Teena enjoys meeting new people and fostering connections to drive positive change wherever she goes.
